Our heartfelt thanks goes to the Village Hall Treasurer, David Bailey, who secured the grant funding from Biffa Award, WREN, The National Lottery Fund, Woolley Parish Council, Wakefield Council and the Bernard Sunley Foundation. David also managed the whole renovation project and has given his time and energy for more than 12 months.
In addition to the grants, money came from fundraising events and donations from residents.

SUPERFAST BROADBAND IN WOOLLEY VILLAGE IS HERE AT LAST
Following more than two and a half years of persistence and tireless effort from members of the Woolley Village Residents' Association, as of 21st May 2018, Woolley village has Superfast Fibre Broadband. Using the Government's voucher scheme, the Residents' Association organised the purchase and installation of fibre broadband for Woolley village. If the Residents' Association had not taken control of the situation, fibre broadband would not have been available until 2021 at the very earliest, if at all.
Thank you to Andrew and Jane who took the lead on this campaign.
